Question
Your assignment is to answer the following six questions for each of the four named attacks in the outside reading (OPM, Sony Pictures, DDOS Against US Banks, Ukraine Power Grid):
Target. What company, government, organization (or group of them) was the target of the attack?
Attacker. Who was the attacker?
Year. What year did the attack take place?
Consequence. What happened in the attack, what was the attacker trying to accomplish?
Motivation. What was the apparent motivation of the attacker?
Third party victim. Was someone other than the target organization hurt by the attack? (note that employees and shareholders of a company are not generally considered separate from the company)
It is rare that we know for certain who is behind an attack, though in all four of these cases, there is at least speculation about the attackers. Be sure to talk about how much is known about who the attacker is in each case.
