The 10 Commandments of Computer Ethics are people centric as well. In the article “The internet and the death of ethics,” the author, Dennis O’Reilly, posits that following the 10 Commandments is rarely to never done online and many people stoop to unethical to illegal behavior and it isn’t going to get any better. I agree with the article that is posted by the author Dennis O'Reilly. It is a known fact that people seldom adhere to the 10 commandments of computer ethics not just out of habit but necessity as well. Sometimes, it is seen that the line between the rights of ownership are blurry. Technology is available freely and accessible to everyone. What we choose to do with it is what sets up apart.

With the internet comes the ability to shift the power onto the hands of an individual. Which, they use to harass people, intentionally spam individuals and even arrange illicit activities and spread viruses and worms with intent to steal somebody’s property or to harm them in a way. It is seen that people use software that they do not own or have no right to use for their own benefit, yet, nothing has stopped them from doing so.

The differing laws in different countries somehow enable people to exploit these loopholes and avoid making reparation for their actions.

It is therefore the same as the author says, Even though people try to oppose this kind of behaviour, they cannot do so with full success. As even youtube “a giant enterprise” cannot fully monitor their content and few videos slip by unnoticed. There is a saying in tech world which goes like “A skilled cheater always finds a way.”
