Explain the criteria for determining whether security is a profession. According to your most current research, where is the security field in that process?

According to our text, “public’s perception is what matters, both the attitude of society as awhole and the general opinion of security held by corporate leadership” (Smith, Schmalleger, &Siegel, 2017). It is the consumers’ responsibilities to decide whether security has become aprofession but not the security professionals. There are four criteria that must be met in order forsecurity to achieve societal acceptance as a profession. These four criteria are qualification,academic studies, business skills, and corporate recognition (Smith et al., 2017)
