Question
Please help me with this question, they're relative i already answered the first one
11. In the “./files/rcd” directory (from where you are now) are a number of directories such as “rcX.d” where the X is a single character. Come up with a command that will list the permissions of only these directories. The command should not list the contents, just the directories themselves. Tell me the command, and how many directories of this type exist.
I used ls -ld rc*.d , it listed all of the directories which are 8 directories.
12. Change directories back to your home ~ and then do the same thing as in the previous question. But this time I want you to use a relative pathname from your home directory on the command line. What command did you use?
Explanation / Answer
type "pwd" command from where you are now and this will give you full path name of the present working directory .
Copy it and then switch to home directory.
In your home directory type command :ls -ld (copied path name)/rc*.d
Note : It will work if the command for question 11 is working because I have answered based on that information you have provided.
Please feel free to reach out for further clarification. Thanks.
