It is comforting to store data in cloud because of the following reasons:

The encryption propsed by cloud providers is strong and trustworthy. However, some concerns remain as to whether they are actually encrypting the data the way they claim. So, if the data is highly confidential, it may be a better choice to store it in a cold storage with limited access. Cold storage means the storage doesn't have access to internet and better isn't even connected to a readily accessible computer.
