Question
Tabulate the specifics from both WiFi and WiMAX.
WiFi
WiMax
Carrier Modulation (AM, FM, PHASE, Etc…)
Carrier Frequency
Analog or Digital
Signal Capacity
Data Transfer Rate
Error Rate
Error Detection and Correction Capabilities
Transmission Media
Bandwidth
Maximum Transmission Distance
What are the differences in Data Transfer Rates between the two?
What are the differences in Maximum transmission distances between the two?
What methods are used to detect and correct transmission errors?
Are they the same for both and if not why?
Will IEEE 806.16 networks replace 802.11 networks?
Why or Why Not?
Research another wireless standard and add those specifics to the table.
Do you think this standard could be used to replace either WiFi or WiMAX?
Why or Why Not.

Explanation / Answer
What are the differences in Data Transfer Rates between the two?
Wifi - The data transfer rate is upto 54 Mbps and the for wimax is 40Mbps.
What are the differences in Maximum transmission distances between the two?
wifif - 250m and wimas is 50km
Are they the same for both and if not why?
They are different in bandwidth, area of coverage, frequency etc.
Do you think this standard could be used to replace either WiFi or WiMAX? Why or Why Not.
WiMax is trying to replacing with wifi. At first everything new things will start booming into the real worls withut knowing their hidden cost inside it, wherever it is, the wifi is the best in using all the ways while comparing to the features of both of it.
