In the waterfall environments, the role of the system analyst is to analysis and manages the sequence of the tasks used in the development of the software and estimates the time and resources required for the development of the process. In this, the work for the system analyst is less because of the well-defined requirements of the project which are not subject to change.
In the agile environments, the role of the system analyst is to analysis and manages the iterative of the tasks used in the development of the software. The work of the system analyst is complex because of the iterative process of each individual task and must manage the frequency changes of the requirements.
