The real battery as an ideal emf V = 12 V in series with an internal resistance r as shown above left. The values for the resistors are: = R3 = 52 ohm, R4 = R5 = 122 ohm and R2 = 147 ohm. The measured voltage across the terminals of the battery is Vbattery = 11.5 V.

Req = R1 + R2*(R3+R4+R5)/(R2+R3+R4+R5) = 150.2 ohm
