Question
Hi everyone!, quick question. I'm working on a physics problem. I finished the part a, but b and C are stomping me.
The velocity of a typical hydrogen ion (proton) at room temperature is about 3000 m/s (A)
IF the magnetic field of the earth is 10^-4 T, what is the maximum magnetic force on the hydrogen ion? (ive answered this one, also there is a solution posted to this on here) ans 4.86*10^-20.
B) At what distance would 2 hydrogen ions experience a force from each other of the same magnitude as (a)?
What do your answers to parts a and b suggest concerning the influence of the earths magnetic field on most biochemical substances.
Thanks to anyone who can help!, this is my first time asking questions on here.
