Complete each problem in a logical manner, showing all work (ADIC), and using diagrams wherever possible. Be sure to highlight answers. State all numerical results to 3.00 or 4.000 significant figures and in mks units unless otherwise noted. A circular loop (as shown below) with a diameter of 16 cm is immersed in a uniform B-field with strength of HO. t- T. The loop is then withdrawn from the field in exactly 19 ms. R = 125 ohm Determine the average voltage across the loop during the withdrawal trom the B-tield. Determine the average current in the resistor during withdrawal. On the diagram, show the direction of the current in the loop during withdrawal and explain.

Explanation / Answer

a. induced emf e = NAdB/dt

where N = no. of turns

A = area

so emf e = 1* 3.14 *0.08*0.08 * 29.4/0.019

emfe = V = 31.11 Volts

b. avg induced current I = emf/R

I = 31.11/125

I = 0.248 A

C. applying lenz lawm, we get this in clock wise direction
