There are several compliances which the IT departments needs to be aware:

HIPAA and SOX are meant for protecting the customers inforamations from unauthorized access and also help in archiving the messaging services for example the email and the instant messages.

PCI is needed for protecting the card information from being theft which includes the encryption, firewall, restrictions and any physical access to the datas.

The main concerns are as follows:

1) These are comprehensive approaches

2) This needs a majority push for encryption and mobile device management

3) Protecting from data breaches.
