They are in the middle of a conflict about one of the employees on your team. They place the phone receiver back on the cradle but it doesn’t sit correctly and the voice mail recording continues without the knowledge of the supervisor. It is still recording The tech lead for the messaging team is in the room and they continue to discuss this controversial middle management situation. The supervisor shares information that was communicated in confidence during the last supervisor’s meeting to this tech lead who is not a supervisor. The tech lead is told to keep this information confidential as well and to not share it with others. The supervisor is very angry and the conversation includes some very inflammatory remarks about middle management and certain managers. Upper management hears about this breach of protocol when the supervisor’s supervisor listens to their voicemail which includes this conversation with the tech lead. The messaging team supervisor says that that voicemail should be deleted from the messaging systems archive immediately since it was a confidential conversation.
