Today our web experience is widely supported by DNS and other protocols that are part of TCP/IP's architecture. For this discussion, respond to the following:
1) Research the following protocols: HTTP, ICMP, and UPNP. These protocols are supported by TCP/IP. That is to say, they cannot run without TCP/IP. Discuss their functionality as they relate to a network. Discuss their features and why they are significant.
2) What effect would devices running UPNP on the operation of your home router?

1) HTTP Protocol : The Hypertext Transfer Protocol is defined as the application protocol which is meant for distributed, collaborative, as well as hypermedia information systems.
HTTP is indeed the foundation of data transfer for the WWW.
ICMP : The Internet Control Message Protocol is defined as the supporting protocol present in the Internet protocol suite which is being used by network devices that would contain routers so as to send the error messages as operational information.
UPNP: Universal Plug and Play is defined as the set of networking protocols which helps to permit the network devices like personal computers, printers, Internet gateways, Wi-Fi access points as well as mobile devices to seamlessly work for the network.
2) A new router has enabled by default with UPNP. This automatically forwards the port towards the router which inturn saves the hassle of the forwarding port in a manual manner.
