Explanation / Answer
For outlining the report, I would consider XYZ Company
I have joined XYZ Company as a Software Programmer. I writing a report sharing the experiences I had, working with the organization, and how my academic projects, assignments helped me for the same.
One thing that I understood was that, the things we study during our graduation and the things we implement while working in an organization is two different thing. Reason is whatever we are studying is the basic concepts and the things in the organization are practically implemented. Apart from that we use dummy projects and dummy values as a student where we are allowed to make mistake because at the end only marks will be deducted, whereas there are no chances for a mistake in the organization. If I want to relate the two scenarios then yes, academic projects and assignments has helped me a lot, because they serve as the basis of our knowledge which is very very important.
Joining as a software programmer was a great experience. It made me realize what are Professional Programmers. A Programmer always looks for a new way of coding that reduces the code length and less time for execution. Being a software programmer, my responsibility was to deliver the code that was properly executed without any errors, and if an error occurs I would be responsible for correcting that errors. Initially I was trained by my seniors. Apart from my programming , I should also be capable enough to manipulate the code of other programmer as and when asked by my seniors. Apart from that I lerant about coordination and most importantly team work. In our team we had people for designing, coding, testing, implementation and all of us were guided by our Team Leader and the Manager.
Initially I took time to adapt the things, but as days passed by, I became more comfortable due to support of my colleagues and most importantly the more programming I did, my confidence level was increasing day by day. I started getting the responsibility and was solely responsilbe to code independently. No doubt It was a great feeling and the feeling that I am good enough so that the people can trust me, was enough to motivate me. I realized that motivation plays a very big role.
Working for an organization, made me more responsilbe, changed my perspective towards Coorportes company. Now i undertsnd why our teachers used to stress on practical sessions, assignments and projects, becuase ultimately the selection criteria or the interview process was based on the academic performance and the projects we had. My selection was because of the knowledge I got during my academics.
Overall it was great experience working the XYZ company. I would rather suggest other students, who can join as an Intern and also can start as a fresher because there is a lot of scope to learn, it also changes the mindset if you get good colleagues and the good team leader. Working in a Corportae environment also teaches a lot of thing how to maintain relationships with the team mates, how to behave with the seniors, and specially how to handle the politics.
