Description of the issue:

Sexual harassment is a very sensitive topic and need to get immediate attention from all. Most of the women are now working with several companies across the globe and are coming out of their shell. But sometimes, women face unwanted behavior of their bosses or colleagues within the organization. Women are sexually harassed either directly or indirectly, thus adding to the fear, frustration level, insecurity and dissatisfaction among the women employees.

Impact of sexual harassment:

Sexual harassment has number of negative impacts on the mental and psychological health of the employees who face such kind of harassment. An employee who is being harassed either once or on regular basis definitely tend to lose all the confidence and weaken on the overall moral, the sense of belongingness decreases to a large extent and the employee feels insecure in the organization.

This further affects the relationship between the employees. The victim tend to be more frustrated, irritated, introvert, moody and fussy with rest of the employees and might avoid maintaining any kind of informal relationship with them. This would weaken the relationships within the organization.

It is evident that if healthy relations will not prevail in the organization and the employees will not feel comfortable with each other the this would result into decreased productivity levels and poor quality output generated by the employees. They will not be able to focus on the work, performance and might lose out on opportunities.
