Being the manager of a facility of 1,000 workers, and 200 employee layoffs are scheduled. We have designed an action plan for how the layoffs will occur.

The action plan for layoffs is as below

Prepare the list of employees who will be going on layoff

Declare the time period for which the above list of employees will be on lay off

List of the employees who can be called at the plant for emergency cases

Functional managers will be in contact with the employees and functional manager will call employees upon any urgent requirements.

Information of plant lay-offs to customers, vendors and sub contractors so that they will get prepared for the same.

General lay-off communication via email to all employees of the plant.

Outside employees can remain on work as per their schedule and keep supporting the field work as per their plan.

Official communication to the board of director, investors and corporate for the layoffs schedules.

We would handle both those being laid off and the survivors by preparing the list of survivors and arranging the ethical distribution of work days in the time period of layoffs, so that all the survivors will get equal chance of work and they get supported for their livelihood. This will be in the genuine and ethical ways.

We will follow the Utilitarian Theory of ethics in our lay off and time slot for survivor schedule plan so that all people will get equal opportunity for their work.
