In my company Cows are tagged with wearable devices to monitor vitals and this information is used to predict milk quality in real time. Also, various storage tanks and shipping vehicles have sensors to detect milk quality and feed into the system. BIg data analytics is then used on this data to predict things like anticipated quality milk volume from farmers, milk productivity and milk storage requirements. Thus IOT and big data are connected. IOT generates data in various forms and big data enables generation of insights from this data
