In a 2-page paper, develop a plan for the consolidation of short-term wins into the production of more change. Be sure and consider each of the elements in Exhibit 2, "What Stage 7 Looks Like in a Successful, Major Change Effort," on page 150 of the Leading Change course text. Include the following in your plan: How will you maintain the sense of urgency? Once you have achieved short-term wins, what is the next set of changes that should be addressed? How would you approach these changes? In what ways are you structuring the changes to avoid trying to address too many changes at once or pushing others too hard? How would consolidating your wins bring others on board and build confidence in your vision?

Explanation / Answer

Urgency is nothing but planning and accomplishing activities immediately, which will be benefited to all. apart from nothing is there in urgency. Some times we may need to perform some actions which were not planned, and those actions definitely make some difference the performance of the firm as well as individual. Hence, I prefer to accomplish those tasks which are urgency and make involvement of all whose support is needed.

If I won in short term, I plan use the similar into wins in long term. Because every win becomes a spark in the individual and make them to made more perfect than earlier. I too think in the same way and plan to implement the same in long term and get benefited. Of course for implementation in long term, it may requires some changes in the policies, work procedures, work approaches and so on, but finally if we touch win, all these must be accomplished only.

Positive changes help us to become stronger in all dimensions, where as negative changes drags us to grounds. I make decisions based on the nature of changes, whether they are positive or negative and proceeds with the positive changes only.

when we are working for an organization, every win belongs to the entire firm only. many people takes the previllage and prefers to achieve something new, which provide them individual identity. Hence, majority of the people also the new and innovative things to gain identification and appreciation from employer.
