The "sizzle" refers to the researcher's ability to communicate the research in an engaging and enticing way; it is how you get people (the right people) to listen to or read your research; how to make the research "sexy" Discuss some of the trade-offs between steak and sizzle What if you focus too much on one and neglect the other? 2. What elements of communication are you strongest and weakest at? How might you improve in these areas?

Explanation / Answer

Quality i.e. steak and proper communication i.e. sizzle should go hand in hand. A good communicator can't be called good with bad content and a bad content cannot be communicated in an effective manner.
If a researcher is spending too much time or focus on only content without focusing on the reader whether he will like the content or not then his research is most likely going to get falied. A researcher in addition of using sophisticated tools also take into consideration the engaging part of his research.

I am strongest in presenting my ideas maybe using a PPT or verbally but the weakest part of my presenting skills is thinking of more and more real life relatable examples on the spot with which listener can related to and feel connected with my thoughts. I am planning to overcome this by reading more and more current affairs, news etc. basically keeping myself updated with the happenings around me which will help my listeners to feel connected.
