1. Selection and Staffing- The foremost role of the HR manager is to select the right people for the vacancy in the organisation who are effective and efficient or the company. To fill the right people in right places is vital. the HR manager should know at firsthand the clear direction of the company and what efieciency is required to fill the vacant positions in the company.
2 Act as a Mediator- In an organisation, there are number of occasions arise when there is a conflict or misunderstandings and difference in opinions between the employees or between the superior and subordinates. In such schenerio the HR manager plays a role of mediator and try to manage the conflicts and misunderstandings between all.
3.Act as a Spokesperson- In order to represent the company, the HR manager plays a strategic role to act as a representive for the company.
4. The change agent- Change is important in every thing. In an organisation the HR manager act as a change agent to bring about the necessary change in the existing environment or to introduce a new work sysytem in the organisaton.
5.Orientation- Many organisation does not provide a orientation to the new employee. This is the important step to make new employee adjustable in the new environment with the employer and his job. To give a thorough orientation program to new employees is a strategic role of the HR manager to assigned him his duties and responsibilities at work and introduction about his job role, job description, his relationship position with existing employee in the company. The orientation program gives a aclarification to employee about his new job and about his active role in te organisation.
6.Managing employee relations- The employees are the asset to the company.In order to mantain a healthy working conditions in the company the maintanance of employee relations is a crucial aspect. The HR manager should organise a activities which help him to know about every employee at proessional and personal level.Well managed employee elations bring a healthy environment in the company.
7.Maintaning good working conditions- It is a core responsibilty of a HR manager to maintain a good working environment in the organisation. The studies provide that without the actor of motivation , the employees dont contribute to the development of the organisation as per their abilities. Therefore to motivate the employees to contribute their best possible in the growth of organisation, the HR managers should come up with the financial and non financial benefits to the employees at diferent department of the company.
