Explanation / Answer
My preferred volunteer experience includes volunteering child welfare to ensure basic education for children in our country. I would like to join some organization that wok towards providing free education for economically backward children. Education is the basic need of life that will help to develop a better individual and a better community. By giving free education to the needy children I can help them to grow and make a positive change in their lives.
The duties will include helping children in academics, helping them to explore the opportunities outside and providing required counseling to improve their quality of living. Along with academics, counseling plays an important role in ensuring emotional support and ensures effective learning. The children should be encouraged to participate in various programs that help to improve their language and communication skills and express their needs without hesitation. The skills I should develop include teaching, good presentations skills, oral and written communication, leadership skills and adaptability to different circumstances. Leadership skills are required along with teaching skills to properly guide the children and ensure that they follow the instructions to attain a bright future. The kids would be from different cultural background and hence adaptability is very important to treat every child similarly.
The experience would help me to achieve a better career in educational sector. I am very curious to learn new things and teaching would help me to learn more while performing my job. The volunteer experience will help me to develop my teaching skills and also develop me as a better individual with good personal characteristics including kindness and affection. This will make me more committed towards my job and excel in my career.
