History of morgan State university for each era:

1)Event: In 1917, Morgan college has moved to its new location in Northeast Baltimore .

General Environment:This desicion was made because it was the beginning phase of the institute and due to the so many outstanding obligations and requirment of funds Morgan college had accepted the grant offered by the late Andrew Carnegie.so, college has accepted his conditions and moved to its new location in Northeast Baltimore.

Task environment:As per Andrew Carnegie's conditions In 1915, college has received the grant of $50,000 for the central academic building, got a new site for the College in northeast Baltimore in return college had named the new building Carnegie Hall, (which is now the oldest original building of MSU campus) after his name. Then in 1917, college moved to its new location in Northeast Baltimore.With this decision,college had  broadened its mission to train both men and women as teachers in Maryland state.This decision had very good impact on the economic condition and socioculture environment of college.

Internal environment:  As a result of this decision, college had strengthen its position financially and had become able to pay its outstanding obligations.

2) Event:Morgan state college has turned into the institute with comprehensive mission.

General Environment: This has happened In response to the state study, when this institute has been purchased by the state of Maryland in 1939. it had a great impact on the political, legal and sociocultural environment of institute.It had become a state college and determined to provide more and better opportunities to its black citizens.

Task environment:First it was open to all races students but after becoming a state campus, It turned into relatively comprehensive institution.so, students of that region was most affected by this event.

Internal environment:As a result of this event,At that time,Morgan and the University of Maryland College Park had become the only two public campuses in the state which have comprehensive missions.
