It has been observed that although the participation of the women in the job market has improved considerable and 52% of the women are there in the middle level management posittion but still when it comes to leadership positions, the women are still lagging behind. Out of 500 positions of CEO in the Fortune 500 companies, only 20 have been occupied by women and the rest 480 by males. This is mainly because of the below mentioned reasons :
