Explanation / Answer

Objective of the paper is to assess the experience of immigrants in America. There can be several primary and secondary sources used for this purpose. Primary source of information refers to those sources which provide direct evidence regarding the topic. It would include the journals, manuscripts, speeches, government publications, and interviews/surveys, etc. Secondary sources of information would include materials that are not first hand or original. It includes materials that analyze, evaluate, and discuss the information derived from primary sources.

The primary source of information for the given research work includes telephonic/Face-to-face interviews with the immigrant community members. For this process, different immigrant population was identified and recorded including those who came from Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. 3-4 members from each community were selected for the interview and approached. A questionnaire was prepared including the open and closed ended questions that would help in better understanding the experience of these immigrant populations. This source of information is primary as the information collected from the people was first hand/ original.
