Decathlon, the French sports giant has an excellent recruitment strategy in place. Explained below is one such recruitment instance at Decathlon.
Decathlon usually starts by sharing videos on the social media channels about the company and its work culture and vacancies open. The candidate must have some sports orientation. Once the application is received, candidates are asked to upload their 1-minute selfie video on what makes the candidate apt for the job. After the initial screening, the shortlisted candidates are asked to visit the Decathlon center for recruitment day.
On the recruitment day, the candidate is engaged in a series of sports and group activities to check for his/her fit factor. The candidates are assigned to departments based on the sports they choose. Eg: Cycling, Football, Basketball etc.
