Explanation / Answer

3. The Equation for Labor productivity is

Labor Productivity = Total Output / Total Input

Here Total Output = 700,000 Units per year.

Input = Number of Workers,Let take it as X here.

Labor productivity is already provided i.e 5 units per labor hour.

They have also provided the below information.

Each worker will work 40 hours per week. Each worker will work 50 weeks in the year.

So using the previouly mentioned equation we get the following result.

5*40*50 = 700,000/X

here Labour Prodctivity is given in hours we had to convert the same to year so that it alings with the rest of the equation,So we have multiplied it with 40 (to get weekly) and 50(to get yearly)

Rearranging we get X = 700,000/ 10,000

Which give us 70 workers
