The final project for this course will be the initial sections of a business plan for a free-standing restaurant concept. You will select the concept and develop the concept, perform marketing research to substantiate the concept, and perform an advertising and promotional campaign to support the generation of revenue. As you think about your concept, make sure it is something you are interested in and can find information about, as you will be spending considerable time with this project! Please take a look in the Files section of the Course Menu for some notes on how to research and develop a business plan.
A restaurant or food service business plan is required for the course. The paper should be no less than 4,000 words (approximately 10-12 pages) and formatted in APA or MLA style. At least 6 authoritative outside references are required (anonymous authors and Web pages are not acceptable). These should be listed on the last page titled according to APA or MLA standards.
