DARKNET is an encrypted technology of an overlay web which has restricted access software, special authorizations and secretive network , it is used to conduct illegal activities and share digital content because it gives anonymity to the user . The darknet is a part of DARKWEB which is not accessed by standard search engines such as Google, Yahoo etc. It has a specific software or tools required to access the darknet such as TOR and I2P.

Tor browser works to conceal its user identity and online activities from surveillance analysis by onion routing which separates identification and routing in a way that it routes connections through different servers and volunteers around the world which makes them hard to track .
