The different cultural people given schedule according to their holidays.
so, when one is on vacation, other would be available for work.
To get a leave, we allow substitution and overworking and pay according to that.
Hence whoever wants money, gets to work and if they can't, they can bring others they know for working. There would be a supervisor for looking after the new persons.
When I put myself in employees shoes, I feel it's a bit comfortable and flexible to have a schedule which is not only employee friendly, but also effective for the management!
