But should Scott follow   this advice? Explanation / Answer

YES THERE EXIST A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JOB PERFORMANCE AND JOB SATISFACTION

there are many theories which explains it one of the very famous theory is

AND HOW IT CAN BE APPLIED IN A CLINIC IS EXPLAINED BELOW

According to a report published in the Annals of Family Medicine, a high rate of physician burnout has prompted 23 medical clinics across the country to redesign how physicians complete administrative work in an attempt to improve job satisfaction. New methods of physician work flow will reportedly increase the time physicians spend with patients and subsequently improve patient care.

An article from American Medical News (AMN) highlighted the report, which claimed that issues such as administrative overload, miscommunication, and computerized busy work were the contributing factors causing physician satisfaction decline. The 23 clinics are reportedly attempting to reduce the %u201Cbusy work%u201D primary care physicians must complete throughout the day by %u201Cplanning visits ahead of time, delegating more tasks to nurses and medical assistants, holding daily meetings, and using standing orders for recurring items.%u201D According to AMN, this will give physicians more time to focus on delivering quality care to patients.

Andrew Schutzbank, MD, co-author of the Annals of Family Medicine report, stated that physician satisfaction is essential to the quality with which medical care is delivered to patients. %u201CAll medical care, and especially primary care, is incredibly complex, creative work that requires willing, engaged participants and strong support to be successful. We use silly words like 'joy' and 'love' and 'hope' because that's what we need. We don't need more rules or checklists or regulations,%u201D said Schutzbank.

Removing administrative elements from physicians%u2019 work flow is expected by AMN to improve both the quality of life/work for physicians and the quality of patient care they deliver
