Please Answer the following Questions :...
A- What is the Age range of people in the R/C Racing hobby
Most were 15 to 55 years old... Its a hobby that's open to all ages.
B- What do you thing this hobby is for men only or women only or they can be both? Why?
Working at a hobby shop I've seen both men and women come in and participate... While the majority were men... many women also came in... In fact one of the top RC truck racers in my area is a woman who does the hobby with her boyfriend and father..
C- How can you best describe the customers segments of the R/C hobby shops (Ex: kids, adults, engineers...etc.)
Kids --They tend to be very armature, not a ton of money..
Adults --Most are men, some are women... Tend to get into the hobby because of their kids.. They also tend to compete in local biweekly competitions.
Engineers --This group tends to build from the ground up using super custom and high end parts. They spend time designing their Own parts and electrical components.. in some cases they even pprogram the control chips. They like to use sensors and do all kinds of crazy stuff with them..
Seniors --Some get into it as a way to just spend time outdoors having fun with little gas motors... Some used to be pilots and just want to fly on the cheap.
Women --They are a small slice of the hobby... They end to be less than 30 years old or so.
D- Do you think there are any other potential partners can help make this business successful?
Someone that is very savvy with respect to gorilla marketing.
E- What is the value proposition that hobby gives?
Actual shops, if run right, can bring together hobbyists and give them a place to organize, learn, and spend money... With an eBusiness the market is so saturated and hard to break into..
F- What is the best ways to deliver this product?
A shop... it gives people a place to go for questions, repairs, and help with modifications...
G- What are the key activates of that hobby?
Modifications, Competition, Just having fun...
H-If you have any idea or extra comments please add it?
The hobby is just a lot of fun... However, I would suggest carefully planning your entrance into such a business... Its not easy, but with the right knowledge and effort such a business can and does work.
