Abstract

The Silver Fiddle Construction Company has been hired to build a custom home for a family in a booming housing market. A well defined scope statement has been developed and an outside consulting firm has been asked to provide an assessment and recommendations concerning the project. The firm has identified risks, contingencies, key measurements, and made several recommendations to Silver Fiddle on how to navigate through the maze of constraints. Although the path from here to project completion for Silver Fiddle is wrought with pitfalls, through proper planning and use of project management fundamentals, Silver Fiddle should be able to complete the project on time and under budget.
