Lessons learned regarding project management:-

1. Case clearly show that there was cost cutting done in the project due to which the quality of used material decreased.

2. Case also shows that there was lack of communication between the team members as one of the team member asked to stop the launch as he told that spaceship will explode.

3. Failure of challenger also indicates that proper research work was not done regarding the engineering design.

4. It also teaches us as a project manager we need to review each and every phase of project and when we are satisfied with the results then only the phase should be cleared.

5. it teaches us that if a employee find some fault in the project and ask for the review he should not be ignored he should be welcomed and the project should be reviewed if a single person have doubt about it.

Lessons learned regarding Risk management:-

1. As in this case the manger should have also evaluated the external risk factor properly.

2. In case there is a logical theory that above certain height the speed of wind was his which was evaluated during the launch.

3. The team only focused on the internal factors of launch an ignored the external factors.

4. In video it is clearly shown that the plane which flew few hours earlier to launch was hit by tornado.

5. In such missions cost cutting should be not done because failure of project will cost you even more.
