LinkedIn, these days is majorly used for making recruitment in industries. Most of the employers use it as a major source for recruitment. The tool is easily available and shares updated information of employee to employer. Although there are many ethical concerns about the same. Any employer can decide whether to recruit or not to recruit a candidate by the information available on social networking site, there is no law which can describe the Mindset to come to a decision by the information available on social networking sites such as LinkedIn.  Following are some of the ethical issues when LinkedIn is used by employers:-

There can not be any legal issue when information related to job being posted over the websites and the information is exchanged. Posting information about job search or employee search is a modern tool used via means of networking sites such as LinkedIn. Although there are some privacy rights to be followed. These privacy rights speaks about protecting the personal information of citizens. It becomes illegal when false information is being placed or private communication is being taken up. Using information of citizens becomes illegal. But simply posting and collecting basic information is a common practice, which may become objectionable as discussed in case the information provided is wrong or manipulated.

As of now, the amendments do not expressly grants any citizen to the right of individual's privacy. Few of the amendments are:-

Above ae general amendments which keep on updating timely. But it is suggested for employers in general to keep the record of all the information taken which are used for employment. They must also collect the necessary and basic information only which are made available by citizen.
