Effective process capacity of any station = Processing time / Number of machines
Thus,
Effective Process capacity of Station 1 = 6/2 = 3 minutes / unit
Effective process capacity of Station 2 = 4/ 2 = 2 minutes/ unit
Effective process capacity of station 3 = 10/3 = 3.33 minutes/ unit
Since , Station 3 has the highest processing time/ unit, this is the bottleneck station of the system.
Process capacity of a system is determined by the processing capacity of bottleneck process .
Therefore, it can be concluded that cycle time of the system is 3.33 minutes/ unit.
Therfore, Process Capacity of the system = 60 / 3.33 = 18 units / hour

Output rate of a process can be defined as :
