Evaluating a company or organization can provide a great overview of a company or organization’s overall performance.  Fortune magazine has been created lists of the top companies for many years. Review the list of companies from this year (http://beta.fortune.com/fortune500 (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.) and review the list of companies from years past (http://archive.fortune.com/magazines/fortune/most-admired/2012/full_list/ (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.). Discuss your first impressions of the top 10 companies on the list. How has the list changed over the past five, ten and fifteen years? Do you believe there will be a shift in the future of what companies will be in the top? Why or why not?

Q1.
The first impression is quite mesmerizing as the company list is expected to be under the top 10 list in the charts. All the top companies are included in the list because of its standards and reputation in the market. The company performance of the high rankers has improved a lot. The organizations have shown a great work in their respective domain and they achieved the rank which they deserve.

Q2.
If the companies are compared from past data’s then it is sure that somehow many of the companies have lifted its position and some companies have seen the major downfall. For an example; the company Exxon Mobil was in the 27th rank in the old list but in the new list, it has raised to 4th rank. The organization stood up with its own strategies and the efficiency of the work they have shown. While the company Apple in the old list rank wise it has 1st but on the new list of top 10 lists, it was mentioned as 3rd rank. It does not mean it is lagging or not working efficiently, the company needs more attention in its work process as the competitors thinking advance in their work that why it has been replaced.  

Q3.

The future is unpredictable as it has seen on the list the organization that was at the top but has lost their position. The competitors are advanced and working efficiently to bring the position ONE in the rankers list. The effectiveness of work is necessary to be maintained in the organization which will decide the high and fall of the organization in the market.
