1) 1 units of Alpha requires 1 unit of K & 2 units of M. 1 unit of K requires 2 units of S and 1 unit of M requires 2 units of S. Therefore, for 1 unit of Alpha we require 2+2*2 i.e 6 units of S. For 50 units of S, we shall require 300 units of S. As we already have 100 units of S in hand, the additional units of S requires is 300-100 i.e 200 units.
2) Lead Time of Alpha is 2 weeks, so order should be placed at start of 7th week
Lead Time of H is 4 weeks, so order should be placed at start of 3rd week
Lead Time of P is 1 week, so order should be placed at start of 2nd week
Lead Time of W is 2 weeks, so order should be placed at start of 1st week
Lead Time of K is 3 week, so order should be placed at start of 4th week
Lead Time of S is 1 week, so order should be placed at start of 3rd week
Lead Time of B is 1 week, so order should be placed at start of 3rdd week
Lead Time of M is 3 week, so order should be placed at start of 4th week
Lead Time of W is 2 week, so order should be placed at start of 2nd week
Lead Time of S is 1 week, so order should be placed at start of 3rd week
Therefore we can observe that component W needs to be order in the start of 1st week, so as to make the Alpha avaiable in the start of 9th week, and is one of the first components that needs to be ordered.
