In order to discipline employees, a supervisor should start with giving warning to the employee verbally initially but making him/her understand that even a verbal warning will get recorded in documents and still if there is no effect of the verbal warning then provide written notice to the employee in form of a warning letter which should clearly mention that if the employee keep doing whatever is the cause of the disciplinary action, will have to face serious consequences such as termination. Last step will be firing the employee by issuing the termination letter if employee still repeats it.
