Vision and Mission Statement : “Our vision is to be the most efficient drone making organization where people can fulfil all the requirements”
Company History : This company was formed in the year of 2010 by me. I was in my high school and I had a project to submit which had to be indigenous. I had no idea in my mind and the time was running, Suddenly one day when we were playing soccer we lost our ball in the side by jungle where it was very difficult to search as it was getting dawn. I got an idea in my mind that instead of going inside the jungle why can’t we send something which will fulfill our requirement and we will be unharmed. I thought of a flying helicopter with a search light and I started making it. But it was a failure as I was unable to navigate it as I wanted and it was not very sable at the sky. After my high school, Then I started working on it and improved it with all other engineering technologies which helped me to make a quadcopter with which I started a journey where I made my mind to create different purpose flying objects.
I started making drones for fun and slowly I could understand that they can solve many purpose which people cannot do it easily. People around me started taking help from me and I thought why not to use it to make money. I formed a company and named it Tony’s Copter house”
Business and Industry profile: This was the starting of the journey and initially I made only 4 types of copters one for playing without camera, one with camera one which can carry some object less than 100 gm and one which can carry upto 250 gm. Then slowly I saw there are many segments where this can be utilized like, taking photographs in marriages, taking photographs in jungle or river or sea where it need more power backup and can withstand natural obstacles like heavy wind , it can be rechargeable by itself with solar panel. Can be used to in medical emergencies with GPS connection, Can be used in military with high altitude copter and which don’t make noise etc… and so on.. many areas can be covered so if I can make different models and can market it in proper place with proper descriptions this can bring a revolution in the industry.
I did a market survey and I could see that There was no company doing such things, But I need more fund, place and manpower to establish a proper manufacturing unit.
Goals and Objectives
My goal was to reach maximum people and industry specially to the government and make them understand the importance of the concept. What it can do and to what extent it can go. Showing them a prototype and bring business.
Business Strategy and Marketing and Sales For that I hired 3 people initially and I gave them 3 segments to reach, one will go to the kids toy industry, one will go to the government industry and the last guy had to reach the general industry where it can be a multipurpose use. I was overseeing all of them and helping them with the prototypes which are self-explanatory to the people who have doubt in the product. Slowly I started getting the enquiries and I started making for the kids and the general industry. I took a shed and took a loan from the bank for buying the parts from the market. I hired a set of 15 people who was doing the manufacturing job for me. Slowly the demand increased and I wanted some investors to invest to my company to expand it. Presently I have 88 people working for me in different areas like, development, manufacturing marketing and sales.
Products or Services :
I have different range of products which are used in different market segments.
I have many suppliers who supply us raw materials like cameras, fins, motors, panels etc.. and they are locally available. We don’t have dependencies on them as they are available with different other brands. We add intelligence with it and meke our final product. Nut we have contract with the suppliers that they manufacture the part for us and they don’t sell those to others. We have fixed term of delivery and cost. We pay all the suppliers all their money in 15 days after the supply. If any product don’t work they do the service also or they replace with the new one.
We believe Service is the backbone of sales. We have made 4 service centers also where we do service for certain products with the help of our suppliers. Service comes free when any product fails within 6 months of time and after that depending on certain factors we do the service. We take AMC for our high end products also where our service team reach the customer and do the maintenance and give them proper working condition products. We like to keep our existing customers happy that they don’t think of going to other products from our competitor.
Competitor Analysis
Competitor are always there for any product in market. We also have competition but we maintain the quality and service terms with the customers in such a way that once someone experience our product don’t go to others. We have a wide range of products which others don’t have , some of the competitors have some products but in our company we sell everything below one shed. So customers always feel to come to us where they don’t need to hop suppliers for different purpose.
Management team and fanatical projection
Our management team is built with 15 people where 3 of us look after production 3 in marketing and 4 in service with 5 people in sales. We believe in parallel culture where the power is shared among all the people instead of being a hierarchical organization.
We need to expand our company and we are growing up gradually. Before 4 year I have started a concept and in past 4 years we have grown from 4 to 188 people. Out target is to reach all around the country and then reach other nations also with our wide range of products. And for that we need heavy investors who can invest and get a great return of it. Our target is to reach 500 people in next year with 3 manufacturing units and 10 other service centers.
Our turnover is 2MUSD and we project that the turnover will be 8 MUSD next year and in another 3 years it should reach 50 MUSD.
