Yes, the american companies have a huge responsibility of considering sustainability in their business and the impact they have on the international markets. The reasons are-

1. These companies are major consumers of world's resources like fuel, labor, etc. hence they have a responsibility of developing sustainable business models

2. The companies for long time have polluted the environment and played a great hand in global warming, hence they need to find sustainable models, which do not degrade the earth's environment

3. These companies are employers of millions of people, hence people are dependent on them, and companies should sustain themselves to continue to be a support for these people

4. The companies produce huge amount of waste, which degrades or pollutes environment, it is the responsibility of such companies to find ways to reduce the waste emission

5. The companies have consumed several small businesses and shut down several small shops, hence now they have to find a way to help such people benefit from them

6. The companies have a huge mass presence, and people acknowledge them, it is also their duty to make the people aware about sustainability.

7. The companies have cleared up millions of acres of forests, resources of which were a life earning thing for thousands of people, this creates another reason for such companies to be sustainable in their approach.

Yes, sustainable studies should be a part of primary international research because-

1. Non renewable resources are fast depleting, and we quickly need other sources through which our future generation can survive

2. We need people who can estimate the needs of future generation, and make strategies accordingly.

3, Business decisions have to be made considering the available resources in the near future.

4. We need thinkers, who can develop sustainable models, which can provide employment to a lot of people, support the growing needs, and also produce less waste in doing so.

5.We need leaders, who consider sustainability as a base to their any decision, so that policies are made adding on to that base.
