Question

Computers Inc, sold 10 computers to anna for her new business. Anna paid cash for the computers on monday and stated she would have them picked up by her IT manager on tuesday. In sellers warehouse, the 10 computers were shrinkwrapped together and a sticker with annas company named placed on the package. monday night, the sellers warehouse (where the computers were located) was partially destroted by fire, and half of the stores inventory of computers were destroyed. if anna files a claim with her insurance company claiming the destroyed computers were the ones she purchased, what do you think the likely outcome will be with regard to the insurance comapny?

Explanation / Answer

The claim of Anna will not be accpeted by the insurance compay as the ownership or title of the computers were still not transferred to Anna. The transferring of ownership will be done when eitther the aper work is handed over to Anna or the computers were in possesson of Anna.

So the claim will not be acceptable.
