Explanation / Answer

1.Many business and organizations are Project Driven and most of them are construction and Oil-Drilling companies. Not only these, other organizations are also based on Project driven structure and work is mostly based on hierarchies and functions. My organization is a construction company and it is based on ‘Project Driven” work structure. Work is carried out in project based groups and each employee have project related boss. In such organizations structures, because of changes and flexibility in projects, the organization structure is also very flexible on work duties. Except sales people, most of the employees can be shifted to other work anytime. Specially, employees have to be flexible in terms of location. They can be sent to any place depending on the project.

2. My organization structure do not fits into an IT project environment. IT business is totally different from construction business. They take projects to provide IT services and solutions and there is no physical space and do not need flexibility in terms of place and shifts. In construction organization, employees have to move to project area and have to physically instruct the working.

3.Suppose, I am working as Site Manager in my organization. If a new person has assigned and join my team, then step by step he should be made informed about the past and present status of the work done on the site. He must be aware of all the activities related to his work so that any action/order taken by him must match with the requirement and need.

4. No. anyone cannot be trained as a Project manager, It needs specialized knowledge and academic background of the area and then only training will be given. It can be disastrous if any layman will be given training and expected good work.
