Forest Trees Really?Explanation / Answer
1. The term organizational culture means the culture followed / exhibited by a business unit on a whole. Many mentality aspects , procedural nature of entity , work ethics and values in together is called as organisational culture.
Thus it is combined and collective view of various small aspects. ( viz : encouragement behaviour by all supervisors over their employees , giving scope to individual creativity etc )
As it is collection of various tasks together it xan be compared with ocean filled with innumerable drops / forest with large amount of trees.
2. Where as organizational structure is the whole framework of an organisation . It is the stepwise procedural pattern and placement of various employees at certain specific positions
Where as organizational structure refers to various single employees put together and may thus be argued to form a forest but in organizational structure importance is given to each single step done by every individual employee.
Thus since it is considered keenly every pin to pin each fellow employee / worker in a work field is called as tree.
Thus organizational structure can be definitely called as trees.
3.
Now coming about the relation between trees and forest. The existence of one makes the other complete i.e a forest is considered as the one with innumerable trees and it is a universal fact and uncounted inverse is true.
The same way , organisations cultural aspects arise only when their exists an organization set up with various procedural patterns.
Thus they both are inter related with each other.
Differentiation eg :
* if a procedure of sending file from desk A to B is part of organisational structure then
* The way desk A and B employees communicate with each other , The level of analysis being devoted by every single employee of that desk on single query / file denotes their ethical values of organizational culture.
Thus if what to do is organizational structure then how to do it with best behaviour and transparent nature denotes organization culture.
4. Thus for any leader who is preparing / has already prepared any strategy it is responsibility on their part to consider both organizational structure as well as culture.
* form a strategy that is as per organizational structure.
I.e which sector of organisation has to implement it snd how long ?
* consider if the strategy is being prepared to being out best cultural practices in organization.
Eg : growth in production by improving storage facilities and aspiring just in purchase technique.
Thus these kind of strategy formulation allow the organizer / leader of specific work field to improve both structurally as well as culturally.
