1. What TV show or movie did you select to review?
2. What types of teams can you identify in your selected TV episode or movie? (review the descriptions of team types listed in "Remember This" on page 592 may be helpful in answering the question.)
3. What are the causes of the team’s conflicts? Are they resolved? If so, how?
4. Was the team effective?
5. What were the most surprising things you learned about teams from this assignment?
Explanation / Answer
1. The TV show that I chose to review was Suits.
2. The type of team that I could identify in the episode was a kind of self-managed team as the individuals worked together for the overall betterment of their company in the best possible way without the supervision of any leader and they took their own independent decisions.
3. The team's conflict arose in how the matters should be handled in a particular scenario, though there were disagreements each individual has faith that the team members would do what is best for the company in the end.
4. The team was very effective as each one fully did justice to the case he/she was handled.
5. The most surprising thing that was a learning from this exercise was that no matter how divergent thoughts two people might have, they can always keep aside their mutual difference to achieve phenomenal results if they want to work together towards a common goal.
