Part A
The context of the group is to create and design activities to develop leadership skills with the work team. Personally speaking, in my workplace, there is a team for aspiring team leaders. The Team Leads are selected based on their performance rating and interview. Once they are selected and put in the group to develop skills for aspiring Team Leads. The group consists of the team members who have qualified to become Team Leads.
Part B
Title- Building leadership skills
Purpose- To provide training and learning experiences to aspiring leaders. The main purpose is to develop the skills necessary for the aspirant leaders.
Learning Outcomes- The trainees will learn
Leadership Theory from which the activity is based-
Transformational leadership theory: The theory states that leaders can create a positive change in their followers. This is a new approach which is essential for strategic decision making. The leader believes that the followers are motivated by the task that they are expected to perform. The followers are inspired by the leaders in this approach. Thus, transformational leaders are visionary and inspiring to others. They are bold, risk-takers and thoughtful for the followers.
