I believe that human resource has been an important unit or department of an organization and the success of the organization depends a lot on the same. They play the role of startegic partners, employee advocates, compliance manager, etc although their primary objective is well being and engagement if employees and for that they need to be closely associated with the employees to understand their requirement and the performance standard as well. The performance of the employees should be evaluated and based on that their compensation and recognition is decided. If the HR unit is incapable of doing that, then it becomes difficult for an organization to sustain in this world of high competition and succeed as well.
Employee evaluation is a very important factor of HR and the process should be fair, transparent and justified so that employees feel that they are valued and the process is not at all corrupt. Even in this case the evaluation process ahs not been proper and the compensation and hike has not been too and in such cases the high performers get demotivated and along with that the organization may lose potential employees as well as business.
