Before the discussion let us discuss the demands from the Union.The union is demanding a raise of 10 cent an hour with no medical care.Considering this proposal a worker would make 80 cents more per day and 24$ a month and 288$ a year.
New strategy:
Now if we consider medical insurance for worker to be around 50$ a month, The Company can propose 70% copay is taken care by the union and 30% will be taken care by the company with a raise of 4 cent per hour.Now considering above proposal the company will have be bear 15*12+.04*8*30*12=295$.The amount comes almost similar to workers demand but in this way the company will be able to make the union accept co-payment on medical care.
