D. Describe the changes to the processes for managing data within the organization for accreditation reporting.
Explanation / Answer
A. Project Evaluation Plan using principles of PDSA
Plan
The project evaluation plan must be planned in a way so that all requirements of the customer are taken care of and a dedicated timeline for each is maintained. The evaluation plan must have scope for risk and contingency analysis, which will help in better execution of the plan.
Do
Based on the project evaluation plan developed in the last stage, an implementation plan will be developed and executed. Every sub-parts of the project must be evaluated thoroughly on the basis of the unit test cases developed.
Study
The deviations in the desired results recorded in the last stage must be studied and the reason behind the deviation must be identified. Contingency and correction plans must be developed to address the above deviations and concerns.
Act
Every process must be tracked down and the effect of various parameters on its processing must be noted. The above-developed correction plan must be implemented with care so that the deviations are taken note of.
B. A timeline report can be used to track the sequential execution of the evaluation plan. A timeline report is drafted in a time sequential manner in which the key milestones of the project evaluation can be highlighted.
C. Usually a team developing a new technology comes up with unit cases to test its seamless execution. To measure the successful implementation of new technology, the unit cases can be executed to check if there are any deviations from the regular flow. Also the achievement of the key milestones can be recorded and matched with the evaluation plan to measure the new technology’s effectiveness.
D. Data must be managed with extreme care and precaution as various compliances and legal procedures govern the privacy and protection of such data. The data must be processed and then stored in the central repository. The access to the stored data must also be limited and must require access approval at various levels. Encryption of data can also be resorted to protect the privacy rights of the data.
The accreditation report has been revamped and given a new format by the Joint Commission (JTC). The reports have been given a more user-friendly appeal so as to prioritize catering to customer needs. The report can be drafted in Excel format which is available on the principle website. The format of the report remains quite similar as the old one:
A SAFER Matrix has been added in the standard report where the most critical metrics for an organization can be monitored and tracked.
