Sometimes changing market is more delicate to deal with people. As the growth and development of LCC(Low-cost carriers), it seems to be hard for full-service flights like SIA to keep their customers (Hofer, Windle, & Dresner, 2008). Though people know that the services of SIA are excellent, people who are sensitive to price such as students give up the service and choose low-cost carriers. Is there any alternative that SIA can control those people and make them turn to their customer? or how SIA can keep their existing customers ? Can the excellent service always be the solution? Explanation / Answer
Yes there is an alternative as the SIA can provide the special schemes for students and people who like to have flight at low cost while not compromising on the quality.
The SIA can keep their existing customer by getting good feedback and addressing these issues by involving in communications with the customer and planning out schemes and policy to provide them low cost flying while maintaining its standard.
Excellent service is not always the solution but indeed the most important aspect of Airline business success. The SIA shall never compromise on its excellent services. However, it needs to cut down its cost on other things while maintain the employee and customer welfare policy intact.
