Subject: A warning letter for tardiness and bad performance
Dear Chris,
This particular letter has a clear intention of advising you on your tardiness and poor performance at work. I regret to inform that you have not been punctual at work for the past few weeks and a few months. If that is not a grave concern enough, your performance over the discharge of your duties and responsibilities at work is also lagging and is dismal. Your casual and dismaying approach towards work and the workplace is also negatively affecting the entire team’s behavior and performance.
I am dismayed to convey to you that the observations related to your conscientiousness and professional conduct have yielded negative results, especially for the past 2 weeks. The management notices that you are not performing as per your capability and are also neglecting the professional and behavioral codes of conduct.
You can only know the real reasons behind your disregard for your duties and responsibilities. The management and we as a team are here to help you through all eligible means if you find yourself engulfed in a problem or situation that is adversely affecting your life, including professional life. The management wants you to assume the regular work schedule with immediate effect. You are also advised to improve your performance level and can make the necessary lifestyle changes to achieve the desired goals. If you want to undergo any training or counseling sessions, we will try to help you. We hope that your performance levels are restored soon and the tardiness is absent from the coming working day itself. We also hope to have you in a team as a disciplined, able and punctual performer and team member for the long time interval. We also wish that you get all the rewards, perks and privileges that are associated with greater performance level and a disciplined conduct.
Note that your professional behavior and conduct is under observation and scrutiny. Further disregard of duties and responsibilities, tardiness and poor performance on your side will call for the necessary disciplinary actions, which may also include a termination from the job role.
This email should serve as a warning letter as well as a poor-conduct notification to you, and we hope that it awakens you to be a better performer and a sincere and disciplined executive again.
